Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Raccoons Scratch and Stink Up an Attic in Marlboro, NJ

Tree was Too Close
This tree is way too close to the home. This provided the perfect opportunity for the raccoons to infest the home.

Through the Soffit
As you can see, the raccoons entered via the soffit area.

Feces in the Insulation
There were raccoon feces everywhere. The smell was so putrid that it stunk up the whole home!

Comstock Device
We temporarily sealed off the access point and installed a nose cone that is attached to a Comstock device over it. The nose cone will safely guide the raccoons into the Comstock device. The Comstock is a two-gaited, heavy-duty device that features super-strong coil springs that powers the trap door. The door locks into place which prevents the raccoons from escaping.

A Matter of Time
We also set up several baited devices nearby. Once we safely remove all the raccoons from the home, we will relocate them to a new, humane environment, disinfect the attic, reinsulate it with blown-in cellulose insulation, and install sturdy metal flashing over the access point to prevent reinfestation.
