Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Raccoon Removal in Farmingdale, NJ
A new commercial client in Farmingdale, NJ contacted us after hearing strange noises in his attic area late at night.
Torn Attic Fan
Once I arrived, I noticed that the attic fan was bent and torn apart. I took a closer look and found raccoon hair and paw prints all over the attic fan. Although incredibly intelligent at breaking into buildings, raccoons aren't great at covering their tracks.
Special Device
Since I was unsure that is was a single or a family of raccoons in the attic, I set-up a raccoon quad multi-catch device. This device has doors that slide out to fit up to 4 raccoon traps. When the raccoon exits through the attic fan it'll have no choice but to exit through one of our positive sets.
The Positive Sets
A positive set is a two-gated, heavy-duty device. We call it a positive set because we are positive that we will safely capture the targeted nuisance wildlife (in this case, the raccoon). I also placed a baited trap nearby.
Safely Retrieved
Once the raccoon (or raccoons) are safely retrieved, we'll relocate it to a new, humane location, disinfect the attic area, and install a sturdy, heavy-duty attic fan cover to prevent any future nuisance wildlife intrusions.
