Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Poorly Handled Exclusion Invites More Raccoons in Brielle, NJ
This homeowner in Brielle, NJ couldn't understand why he had raccoons again after he had another company out. The reason is that the job wasn't done correctly!
Wasn't Done Correctly
The raccoons previously broke through the attic fan and, recently, did it again because it wasn't secured properly! The previous company used flimsy chicken wiring to try and "excluded" the raccoons.
It Just Didn't Work
The raccoons very easily ripped through that chicken wiring, reentered the attic, and contaminated the insulation.
The Right Way to Exclude
We installed an attic fan cover with a positive set attached to it. The positive set is a nose cone that will guide the raccoons safely into a heavy-duty, two-gaited device. Why is it called a positive set? Because we are positive that only the raccoons will enter the device! We also set-up two baited traps nearby.
Safely Caught and Attic Excluded
Shortly after, we safely caught all the raccoons. We relocated them to a humane location, disinfected the attic and installed a brand new attic fan cover. This will prevent all nuisance wildlife from entering the home via the attic fan.
