Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Groundhogs Cause Trouble for War Veteran in Monroe Township, NJ
This homeowner in Monroe Township, NJ was having a serious issue with groundhogs digging up his yard and eating his flowers.
Ruining His Flower Garden
Before beginning our inspection the homeowner told us that he spotted a groundhog eating his flower in his garden.
Under the Shed
As we inspected, we noticed some tracks near the homeowner's shed. After a closer inspection and examining the burrows, we confirmed that was indeed a groundhog living under the homeowner's shed.
Quite the Nuisance
Groundhogs are known to burrow in near building foundations or the bases of trees, leaving mounds of soil at the dig site. Groundhogs are primarily active during daylight hours, usually feeding in the early morning. When burrowing, they are notorious for destroying building foundations and cause electrical outages from gnawing on underground wires.
Defend the Shed
In order to prevent the groundhog or any nuisance wildlife from destroying the shed, we installed a Dig Defence.
What's a Dig Defence?
A Dig Defence is a patented drive-in ground fence panel that will deter the groundhog or any wildlife from burrowing underneath the shed.
Properly Guarded
After installing the Dig Defence, we left a small area of the shed open and set up a one-way device in front of the burrow. A one-way device allows the groundhog to safely leave the shed, but prevent it from getting back in.
And On the Other Side
We installed another one-way on the other side as well. Due to the Dig Defence the groundhog will have no choice but to exit through the device.
Release and Seal Up
Once the groundhog has been safely removed we will properly seal up the access points around the shed.
