Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Homeowner Goes Batty in Long Branch, NJ
A customer in Long Branch, NJ called our office concerned that he had a living animal is his attic.
Opening in the Ridge Vent
After a thorough inspection, we found bat droppings throughout the attic. We also discovered openings in the ridge vent and in between the chimney that the bats were using to gain access into the attic.
Close the Openings
We installed a RIDGE-GUARD® over the opening of the ridge vent. A RIDGE-GUARD® is a system for guarding against animal entry at the roof ridge.
Only One Way
We also set up a bat cone over the gaps in the chimney and temporary sealed up any other openings with hardware cloth. This allows the bats to safely leave the attic but prevent them from getting back in.
Rewarding Process
Now that the Ridge-Guard® and bat cone are in place, in no time at all, the bats will be removed from the attic. Once all the bats are gone, we will permanently seal up all the openings on the roof and chimney.
