Pests We Treat - Bed Bugs Found in Closet Exterminated in East Brunswick, NJ

A Cowleys Pest Services bedbug team was sent to East Brunswick, NJ to perform a bed bug inspection in one of our commercial accounts, an apartment building for seniors. High density living areas like apartments, dormitories, and nursing homes are particularly susceptible to bed bug infestations because of the transient population. The higher the density and traffic in and out, the higher the likelihood that someone is transporting a bed bug where it will latch on to someone else and infest their residence. it’s like a game of tag, except the consequences are much more serious. Also, we are always extra cautious whoever dispatched to a facility with a more elderly population. Sometimes, the aged are unaware of a bed bug infestation until it is serious and well-entrenched because of their diminished senses and anti-inflammatory medications that may mask them from noticing bites. 

With this call, a gentleman in one of the units had complained about possible bed bug bites after waking up in the morning in his apartment. We were dispatched to inspect the apartment and assess the situation. 

I inspected the bed, while my partner inspected the nightstand and a clothing closet that were all within a few feet of the bed frame. I had noticed some minor bedbug activity on the boxspring. My partner found a bed bug crawling on a shirt which hanging right by a telephone circuitboard.
