Termidor®
Termidor® termiticide/insecticide is America’s leading professional liquid termite treatment product. Termidor is effective on native subterranean termites, Formosan termites, and drywood termites. It uses an advanced non-repellent, or “undetectable,” liquid technology that termites cannot see, smell, taste, or avoid. Instead, they contact, ingest, and share Termidor, completely unaware that doing so will inevitably kill them.
Termidor® Key Features:
- Virtually odor-free and won’t cause disruption to your normal routine
- Uses proven application methods at very low rates
- Applied only with water and will not cause harm to plants adjacent to the areas of application
- Active ingredient bonds to the soil so there is no leaching
- Provides 100% control of infesting termites in three months or less after treatment when professionally applied
How does Termidor® work?
Termidor liquid termite treatment is carefully applied along the foundation walls or exterior perimeter of your home. Termidor kills and controls subterranean termites several ways: Termites are killed on contact and will die after eating treated material. Termites can’t see, smell, or detect Termidor, so the termites ingest it and come in contact with it as they go about their normal routines.
When a termite touches Termidor, it becomes a “carrier,” transferring Termidor to other termites. Termidor's unique “Transfer Effect™” is one of the reasons why Termidor is unparalleled in the termite treatment industry.
Can Termidor be used as a preventative treatment?
Most definitely. Termidor preventative treatment provides an immediate defense and ring of security around a home that termites cannot penetrate. A preventative treatment will save a homeowner time and money because it is ultimately more expensive to repair termite damage than to prevent it from happening in the first place.
DuPont™ Altriset®
Altriset® termiticide is the latest innovation in "green" liquid termiticide. Altriset is the first liquid soil-applied termiticide to be registered as reduced-risk for use on termites by the U.S. EPA under its Reduced-Risk Pesticide Program.
Altriset® Key Benefits:
- Controls termites in less than three months and provides long-lasting residual structural protection
- Altriset has an excellent environmental profile, with one of the lowest use rates per finished gallon
How does Altriset® work?
Altriset is a non-repellant application that's transferred among and between termites in order to eliminate the colony. Once termites come into contact with Altriset, their ability to feed on wood is halted within hours, resulting in death. Altriset targets a very specific part of the termite’s muscles. The mouths of the exposed termites become paralyzed and are forced to stop feeding. This targeted toxicological profile means that its effect on non-target animals including humans, pets, birds, and even other insects and bees are non-existent.
