Pests We Treat - Ant treatment in Monmouth Beach, NJ
Cowleys received a call from a homeowner in Monmouth Beach, NJ for ants inside her home. I was dispatched to take care of the problem. Ants live in colonies, and for long-term results, the colony must be eliminated. Just killing isolated foraging ants with a hardware store spray is ineffective.
To resolve an int infestation, I always follow the scent trail to find where the ants are entering the home. Typically, ants ants enter the home through small openings to forage and then return to the outside nest. Sure enough, I located the trail around the back of the home. The ants were entering the home through a crack between the siding and the foundation. Small foundation cracks are all that ants need to enter your home in order to search for food and water.
After spot-treating the inside of the home, I treated the exterior along the foundation. In this video, I set up a chemical barrier that blocks the scent trail so the ants loose their path to enter the home. Also, the ants carry the chemical back to the nest, which kills the entire colony.
