Fruit Flies Were Hovering

As we began to inspect the kitchen, we noticed a number of fruit flies hovering around a few floor drains. So we took a closer look at them.

Full of Sludge

When we took a look, we found a massive buildup of sludge, food debris, and other liquids in each of the floor drains. Fruit flies thrive and breed in fermenting liquids that exist in dirty drains, in the bottom of garbage cans, on a dirty mop, or food.

We showed the manager and the staff these problem areas and suggested a few simple sanitation procedures to clean the drains and keep them clean. We were VERY happy that the staff started to clean these problem areas.

Let Us Get Started

We started to apply a liquid application in all the floor drains that will remove the bad bacteria that the fruit flies breed in. Removing the breeding habitat will resolve the current infestation. Next, we scrubbed out each one of the drains with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Afterward, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in all the drains

Fruit Flies Gone for Good

Once we finished we then treated all the high infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and then installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be exterminated and, as long as the restaurant is properly cleaned on a regular basis, the fruit flies will be gone for good.
