Pests We Treat Photo Album: Children's Playground Under Siege From Bald-Faced Hornets in Manasquan, NJ
A homeowner in Manasquan, NJ called Cowleys office panicking that her backyard was infested with hornets.
Hornets Flying Around
Once I began inspecting the area I noticed a few hornets flying around the backyard.
Up at the Peak
I looked up and found a bald-faced hornet's nest at the peak. Bald-faced hornets aren't known to be friendly stinging insects and will attack anything that they deem a threat to their nest.
Take it Down
I used my extendable pole, attached a foaming application to it, and treated the entire nest. This application neutralizes the hornets on contact. After about 5 minutes I attached a scraper to the extendable pole and began removing the nest.
Bye Bye Bald-Faced Hornets
Now that the nest has been removed from the peak I'll dispose of it properly.
