Rat Droppings on the Bed
We found a lot of droppings all over the bed in one of the rooms.
Chew Marks on Wires
We also found chew marks on several wires in the kitchen. Rodent-chewed wires pose a severe fire, electrocution, and malfunction hazard because exposed copper causes short circuits and sparks, responsible for roughly 20% of unknown-cause fires.
Opening Around Utility Pipe
After thorough inspecting the home, we found out how they were getting in - through an opening around a utility pipe on the outside of the apartment...
Monitoring the Rat Infestation
...and another one in the kitchen. We installed a number of rodent bait stations near the access points as well as in several other locations inside and outside of the home. We then scheduled a few follow up visits with the property manager to replenish the bait stations as needed and to monitor the rat infestation.
