Hole in the Foundation Invites Mice in Highlands, NJ
Challenge
After finding a lot of mice droppings in his crawl space, this homeowner in Highlands, NJ called Cowleys and we were sent out to inspect and treat. As we inspected the crawl space, we did find a lot of mice feces, but we also noticed a small opening that led outside. When we went to inspect, turns out, that there was a small hole on the exterior of the foundation. This was how the mice were able to infest the home!
Solution
First, we carefully cleaned up all the mice droppings throughout the crawl space. Next, we installed several rodent bait stations throughout the crawl space, next to the opening on the exterior of the home, and around the exterior of the building. Once we finished, we scheduled several follow-up appointments to replenish the bait in the bait stations as needed and to monitor the infestation. On our next follow up visit we will properly seal up this opening as well as any and all other openings around the home.
