Mice & Spiders Found Throughout the Basement in Bridgewater, NJ

Challenge

After finding a mouse in her basement, this customer in Bridgewater, NJ found Cowleys online and called us for help. As we inspected the area we found an opening around one of the utility pipes. As we got closer, we noticed that the mice droppings were caught in a spider web. As we continued inspecting the basement we found more and more spider webs throughout the area. Looks the homeowner has a mouse and spider infestation in her basement.

Solution

First, we grabbed our spider broom and started to brush away all the spider webs. This eliminates their food source and, after a little while, the spiders will get annoyed and leave the area. Next, we applied an application that is specifically labeled to treat spiders directly to the infested areas. This treatment will rapidly exterminate the spiders. Afterward, we carefully vacuumed all the mouse droppings and installed several rodent bait stations throughout the basement, in several rooms above the basement (at the request of the homeowner), and along the exterior of the home.

Lastly, we scheduled several follow up visits to monitor the infestation and replenish the bait stations as needed. Once the mice infestation significantly drops, we will stuff all potential openings throughout the basement with chew-proof stainless steel mesh and then seal them with a waterproof, premium adhesive.
