We received a call from a Home Protection Plan customer in Shrewsbury, NJ who spotted a large number of yellow jackets by her hot tub. When we arrived we observed the yellow jackets entering a tiny gap in the side of the hot tub. Turns out, that's where their nest was! This presents a dangerous situation for the homeowner and her family as yellow jackets become extremely aggressive when they feel their nest is being threatened. They can also sting over and over again, injecting their victims with a venom that attracts other yellow jackets to attack.
Solution
We injected a knockdown liquid application directly into the gap, which quickly exterminates the yellow jackets. A short while later, we removed the nest and disposed of it properly.
