Face-to-Face with a Western Conifer Seed Bug in Belmar, NJ

While performing a home protection plan service for one of our customers in Belmar, NJ, we came across a Western Conifer Seed Bug on the siding of the house. Many homeowners might confuse this bug with the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug. 

Although both of these bugs are house invaders they’re both quite different. The stink bug's body is more square having a shield-shaped body, while the conifer bug has a slender body with a leaf shape appendage on its hind legs.
