Photo Album: Large Odorous House Ant Colony Found in Commercial Building in Montgomery, NJ
As I started inspecting the laundry room of this commercial building in Montgomery, NJ, I found a massive ant colony!
One Massive Swarm
As soon as I moved a mop, I came face to face with a massive odorous house ant swarm!
They Were Everywhere
They were trailing from the closet, along the windows, and all the way to the next room! Odorous house ants are tiny, fast ants that emit a rotten coconut smell when they're crushed.
Treatment
I applied a liquid residual directly to the ants, along the windows, to all the cracks and crevices in the laundry room, and along the entire exterior perimeter of the building.
Going to Follow-Up
Once the ants come in contact with this treatment, they will bring it back to their nest and share it with one another and their queen, through feeding and grooming one another. Shortly after, they are exterminated. I'm going to return for a follow-up visit to monitor the infestation and apply any additional treatments if needed.
