Leaves Hiding the Yellow Jackets Nest in Gladstone, NJ

Challenge

After her dog was stung several times by yellow jackets in the backyard, this homeowner in Gladstone, NJ called our office for help. As we began inspecting the backyard, we didn't immediately find the yellow jackets nest, however, when we kicked over a pile of leaves on the ground, we found it! Turns out, the yellow jackets had an in-ground nest and no one noticed it because the leaves were hiding the nest.

Solution

We injected a knockdown dusting application directly into the ground nest. This treatment exterminates the yellow jackets almost immediately. Several moments later, we removed the nest, disposed of it, and filled in the burrow.

Once they're eliminated, we'll remove the nest.
