Bed Bugs in Long Branch, NJ
When you wake up every morning for a week straight with bites on your arms it can be very unsettling. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to a homeowner in Long Branch, NJ.
I went to the home and performed a thorough inspection of all the rooms in the house. While I was inspecting the master bedroom I discovered several bed bugs on the underside of the box spring. This is a very common location to find bed bugs because they nest in very tight spaces. Bed bugs love feeling pressure on multiple sides of their bodies at once. It makes them feel safe and secure. Once the bed bugs were spotted a treatment plan was put into place.
With my HEPA vacuum in hand, I began vacuuming all of the live activity up. After the vacuuming was complete I installed new bed bug approved hypoallergenic encasements to the mattress and box spring. This will ensure that nothing ever comes out of the encasements that may have been living deep inside. The next step is the application of a light liquid treatment to the bed frame, baseboards, headboard, and all surrounding crack and crevice areas. The liquid application provides residual control in case any bed bugs decide to come out again.
Once the application was complete I placed blackout monitors under each foot of the bed. This will catch any bed bug that may try to climb up again. With the job completed and the client feeling satisfied I advised her that I would be back for a two-week follow-up. We are both looking forward to the results and ridding this home of these awful pests!
