Photo Album: Ants Nesting on the Exterior of Restaurant in Farmingdale, NJ
During a regular scheduled service of this restaurant in Farmingdale, NJ, we found some ants all over the right exterior side of the building.
Lots of Ants
As you can see, we found ants all over the side of the building.
Getting in Through the Gaps
They were nesting in the mulch bed and then marching up the side of the restaurant and into a small gap in one of the crawl space windows. Fortunately, after a thorough inspection, we didn't find any ants in the crawl space or on the inside of the building.
Spray Them
For treatment, we applied a granular bait to the mulch beds and then treated the entire exterior of the restaurant with a liquid non-repellent residual application. At the owner's request, we also treated the crawl space with the liquid residual.
Here's How the Treatments Work
The worker ants will come in contact with these applications and bring them back to their colony. They will then transfer the treatments, unknowingly, throughout their nest by feeding one another, grooming one another, or eating their own dead. A short while later, the ant colony will be exterminated.
