Photo Album: Raccoon Retrieval and Exclusion in Beachwood, NJ
We're at this home in Beachwood, NJ to safely retrieve this raccoon that has infested the attic.
Ripped it Apart
As you can see, the raccoon tore apart the soffit return to gain access into the home.
We're Positive About It
In order to retrieve the raccoon safely, we installed a positive set directly over the access point. We also installed several baited devices nearby. A positive set is comprised of a nose cone that is attached to a two-gaited, heavy-duty device. The nose cone will safely guide the raccoon into the device. It's called a positive set, because we are positive that the raccoon will enter the device. In fact, a short while later, we successful retrieved the raccoon and relocated to a new, safer location!
Fashioning Some Sturdy Material
In order to prevent any future wildlife intrusions, we went back to our trucks and fashioned a piece of sturdy, metal flashing.
Excluded
We then installed over the soffit return! Now the area is secured from any nuisance wildlife intrusions.
