Photo Album: Ants Marching Across the Driveway in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
As we were treating this home in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, we stumbled upon several trails of ants on the driveway.
Several Ant Hills
We found several trails of ants and a bunch of ant hills along the driveway.
They Were Pavement Ants
As we took a closer look at these pests, we identified them as pavement ants. Pavement ants are about 1/8 of an inch long and are dark brown to black in color. They are so-named because they often nest underneath pavement.
Start Our Treatment
We treated this area, as well as the entire exterior of the home, with a liquid non-repellent residual. Afterward, we treated the entire landscape with a granular bait.
So Long Pavement Ants
The worker ants will come in contact with either of these products, return to their nest, and then transfer the treatments to their queen and the other ants in their colony. In no time at all, the ants will be exterminated.
