Info on Digger Bees
Digger bees are a 1/4 to a 1/2 long and are mostly shiny metallic or dark in color, but some have markings of white, yellow or reddish-brown. They typically nest in areas of the landscape where the grass is sparse or very thin (like at this property). A sure sign of a digger bee infestation are the little mounds of soil with a pencil-sized hole in it (usually on top).
Don't Be Startled
Digger bees are not aggressive at all and as long as you don't step on them or grab them, they won't attack you. However, the venom from a digger bee sting is strong enough to cause a severe allergic reaction in some people, so tread carefully.
Rapid Elimination of These Pests
In order to effectively and rapidly exterminate the digger bees, we soaked every single digger bee mound with a residual liquid application.
