Photo Album: Termites Found in Several Areas Around Home in Gladstone, NJ
Multiple Termite Problems
The termites had built their mud tubes on the exterior foundation of the home, underneath the deck and were causing damage to the decking boards. The other termite issue was swarming from the soil underneath the front stoop! Termite mud tubes are used by the termites to travel to and from their nest when foraging for food. These protective tubes allow them to stay moist underground.
Drilling Into the
To properly treat for the termites, the first thing we did was drill into the front and back stoops as well as around the entire exterior of the home.
Termiticide is Injected
Next, we injected a liquid termiticide into each and every one of the drill holes around the property.
Properly Spaced Apart
As we were drilling, we made sure to space the holes about 15-18 inches apart from one another. This ensures that the termiticide has room to spread out and increases the chance that the termites will walk through the application.
Binds to the Areas
The termiticide binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites cannot detect. The termites will unknowingly come in contact with this treatment as they go about their normal routines, bring it back to their nest, and transfer it throughout their colony. Once we finished, we plugged and filled in each one of drill holes. In a short amount of time the termites will be exterminated and the home will be protected from termites for many years to come.
