Photo Album: Termite Damage Found Under the Carpet in Dunellen, NJ
Termite Activity
The homeowner wanted us to inspect the area to see if there was any active termite activity. Unfortunately, after a thorough inspection, we found active termite mud tubes and subterranean termites throughout the area.
Even in the Support Beams
We continued our inspection to the next room and found more active termite damage in the support beams!
Starting Our Termite Treatment
Since termites live beneath the soil, with the owner's permission, we drilled into flooring of the living room, family room, and around the entire exterior of the home. Once we finished, we injected a liquid termiticide into each one of the drill holes as well as around the entire exterior of the building.
An Unknown Protective Zone
Afterward, we drilled into the walls of the neighboring room and injected a foaming version of the termiticide. The termiticide binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. As the termites go about their routine, they'll come in contact with the treatment and bring it back to their colony.
Termiticide Spreads Fast
The termites will then unknowingly transfer the application throughout their colony. The termiticide then rapidly spreads throughout their nest and, in short amount of time, the termites will be exterminated!
