Photo Album: Termites Located in a Wall Socket in Spotswood, NJ
We were sent out on a service call for a new Home Protection Plan customer in Spotswood, NJ to treat for termites.
Active Termites in the Wall Socket
As we inspected the home, we noticed a termite mud tube coming from a wall outlet in the hallway. We removed the outlet cover and found live termites inside it!
A Surprise Inside
As you can see, it's a pretty large infestation! The first thing we did was inject a foaming termiticide into the walls of the hallway. Next, with the owner's permission, we drilled into the flooring in the hallway, as well as around the entire exterior of the home, and injected a liquid version of the termiticide.
Both Are Excellent for Termite Elimination
Both versions of the termiticide bind to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. The termites will unknowingly come in contact with this treatment as they go about their normal routines, bring it back to their nest, and transfer it throughout their colony
Spreads Throughout Their Nest
By doing this, the termites spread the treatments throughout their colony. A short while later, the termites will be exterminated and the home will be protected from termites for many years to come. Once we finished, we plugged and filled in each one of the drill holes.
