Photo Album: Termite Swarmers Flooding the Basement in Lakewood, NJ
The termites were coming out of the holes in the basement flooring!
Termite Swarmers All Over the Place
As soon as we inspected the basement we found thousands of termite swarmers all over the area. Termite swarmers are the winged adult reproductives that leave their current nest to form their own colony.
Coming from the Cracks in the Flooring
The termite swarmers were actually coming out of the cracks of the cement in the basement!
Termites Live Beneath the Soil
Since termites live beneath the soil, with the owners permission, we're going to drill into the flooring of the basement and around the exterior home.
Binds to the Treated Areas
Once we're finished, we're going to inject a liquid termiticide into the drill holes in the basement and around the entire exterior of the home. This treatment binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect.
Termites Have No Idea
The termites will come in contact with the termiticide as they go about their normal routines and transfer it throughout their colony. The treatment then spreads like a virus throughout their nest and, in a short amount of time, the termites are exterminated and the home is protected from termites for years to come.
