Photo Album: Black Carpet Beetles In the Attic in Jackson, NJ
While inspecting this home in Jackson, NJ, we found black carpet beetles in the attic.
Found Something Interesting
While inspecting the attic we found several black carpet beetles throughout the area.
Under the Insulation
Turns out these pests very harboring underneath and inside the attic insulation.
Black Carpet Beetles
Carpet beetle larvae feed on animal-based materials such as wool, felt, fur, silk, feathers and leather. Commonly attacked items include sweaters, scarves, coats, blankets, rugs, down pillows and comforters, upholstery, and toys. Edges and undersides of rugs and carpets are more likely to be infested than areas out in the open.
Exterminating the Carpet Beetles
We treated every crack and crevice, as well as the main harborage areas, throughout the attic with a liquid residual application. This treatment will rapidly eliminate the black carpet beetles.
