Photo Album: Active Termites Found in the Dock Pylon in Long Beach Island, NJ
There was a heavy termite infestation in several of the dock pylons at this home in Long Beach Island, NJ.
Subterranean Termites in the Dock
As soon as we inspected the dock pylon, we found a massive subterranean termite infestation.
Infested Three Dock Pylons
Turns out the termites had infested 3 of the dock pylons. Subterranean termites can cause the most damage of any termite species. They eat wood 24 hours a day, seven days a week and over time, subterranean termites can critically damage a building structure!
Foaming Termiticide
We injected every single dock pylon and the dock with a foaming termiticide application. We also injected a liquid version of the termiticide around the entire exterior perimeter of the home and around the dock.
How the Termiticide Works
The termiticide binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. They will come in contact with the termiticide as they go about their normal routines, return to their nest, and then transfer it throughout their colony. In a short amount of time, the termites are exterminated and the home, and the dock, are protected from termites for many years to come!
