Photo Album: A Bunch of Citronella Ants Found Under the Bait Station in Kendall Park, NJ
While changing the bait stations at this community in Kendall Park, NJ, we found a ton of citronella ants and ant swarmers underneath one of them.
Lots of Citronella Ants & Ant Swarmers
While inspecting our rodent bait stations, we found these little fellas underneath it. Those are ant swarmers and citronella ants.
What are Citronella Ants?
Citronella ants are small, yellow ants (approximately 4 mm in size) that emit a very strong citronella smell when crushed (hence their name).
Treatment for Citronella Ants
We treated this area and the landscape with a granular bait. Afterward, we applied a liquid non-repellant along the exterior of the building.
Citronella Ants Exterminated
When the ants come in contact with either of these products, they'll return to their nest and transfer the treatments throughout their colony. A short while later, both species of ants will be exterminated.
