Photo Album: Lots & Lots of Boxelder Bugs Found in the Wood Chips in Hopewell, NJ
They were hundreds of boxelder bug nymphs in throughout the mulch bed.
Getting Into the Foundation
We found a massive amount of boxelder bug nymphs in the mulch bed. If you look closely, you can see them making their way up the foundation.
What Are Boxelder Bugs
Boxelder bugs are black insects with reddish-orange markings on their backs. During warmer weather, large groups of these pests will come together to congregate on the sunny side areas of a home.
Aerosol First
We're going to apply a knockdown aerosol product to all the gaps around the home. This treatment will eliminate these pests almost immediately.
Now Comes the Liquid Treatment
Afterward, we will treat the surrounding areas with a liquid residual application. The boxelder bugs will come in contact with the liquid treatment and, in a short amount of time, they will be exterminated.
