Photo Album: Leaky Sink Causes Ants to Infest the Kitchen in Peapack, NJ
After finding a large number of ants under his kitchen sink, this homeowner in Peapack, NJ, called our office for help.
Trailing on the Side
As we began inspecting the home, we found some black ants trailing along the side of the sink.
A Leaky Sink
The ants were attracted to the moisture buildup under the sink, thanks to a leaky pipe. To eliminate the ants, we treated their trails along the side, on top, and underneath the sink with an ant gel bait.
Now for the Liquid Treatment
Afterward, at the owners request, we treated the cracks, crevices, and baseboards of the kitchen with a liquid residual. Next, we treated the exterior of the home with the liquid residual.
Ants Are Exterminated
Once the ants come in contact with either of these products, they'll return to their nest and share the treatments with their queen and the other ants in the colony. A short while later, the ants will be exterminated. Once the ants are gone, the owner will repair the leak under the sink.
