Photo Album: Followed Up for Fruit Flies & Found Termites in Morganville, NJ
We returned for a follow up visit to this property in Morganville, NJ to check the fruit fly infestation and uncovered a termite swarm!
A Bunch in Our Monitoring Devices
We found a ton of termite swarmers in several of our monitor devices. Termite swarmers are the winged adult reproductives that leave their current nest to form their own colony.
Found Mud Tubes
As we inspected the home from top to bottom, we found some active termite mud tubes in the family room. Mud tubes are pencil-width size tubes made by the worker termites that the termites use to travel to and from their nest when foraging for food.
Drilled & Injected the Termiticide
For treatment, we drilled into the wall in the living room and injected a foaming termiticide. Next, we then drilled around the exterior of the home and injected a liquid version of the termiticide.
How the Termiticide Works
Both of these treatments bind to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. They will then come in contact with the termiticide as they go about their normal routines and transfer it throughout their colony. In a short amount of time, the termites are exterminated and the home is protected for years to come!
