Rat Droppings
As we inspected the basement, we found a ton of rat droppings throughout the area and in the crawl space too!
How the Rats Got In
After a thorough inspection of the exterior and the crawl space, we noticed that the foundation vent grates had large openings in it with no screening.
Rodent Pathways
Furthermore, on the outside of the home the plastic window covers were not secured to the ground and the rats were crawling underneath them to invade the home.
Our Plan
We informed the owner, who will properly secure the vent gates and the plastic window covers once the mice are gone. In the meantime, we installed several rodent bait stations in the basement, crawl space, & along the exterior of the home.
Check the Stations
Once we finished, we scheduled several follow up visits to monitor the bait stations and replenish them until the rats are no longer infesting the home.
