A new customer in Oakhurst, NJ called our office after finding a number of carpenter bees hovering around her gutters.
Just Flying Around
As we inspected the area we noticed several carpenter bees flying around the gutters. We investigated and...
Carpenter Bee Holes
found several drilled holes in the fascia board. Carpenter bees will drill circular 1/2 holes into wooden structures to create galleries. If not treated, the carpenter bees will reuse the same galleries year after year and cause extensive damage to that area.
Carpenter Bee Frass
They also leave behind yellow stains underneath their galleries as well as a pile of sawdust, called "frass."
Exterminating the Carpenter Bees
For treatment, we applied a residual dusting product to each gallery. This treatment rapidly exterminates the carpenter bees and leaves behind a residual that will eliminate any eggs inside the area as well as any returning carpenter bees.
