Photo Album: Ants Coming Out of the Backsplash in Red Bank, NJ
Lots of Ants
As soon as we inspected the kitchen, we found a long trail of ants on the countertop.
Bring Back Some Food
You can see them carrying the crumbs that were on the countertop! We pointed this out to the owner and mentioned how important proper sanitation is to prevent pests from infesting your home.
Small Crack in Backsplash
Turns out, the ants were emerging from a small crack where the backsplash meets the countertop. Over time the caulking gets dried out and cracks, allowing easier access for ants to enter the home.
Cowleys Ant Treatment
We treated the cracks with a knockdown aerosol application which will rapidly exterminate the ants. Afterward, we applied an ant gel bait along the countertops.
Sharing It
The ants go crazy for this treatment and will bring it back to their nest and share it among their colony. A short while later, the ants will be eliminated. We informed the homeowner to, once the ants are gone, replace the caulking along the backsplash.
