Photo Album: New Property Full of Drain Flies in Kendall Park, NJ
Broken Grease Trap
As we inspected, we saw several dark-eyed drain flies gathering around an old grease trap. As we got closer, we noticed that a large number of them harboring inside it.
Dirty Sinks and Drains
Additionally, there were several sinks and floor drains that were full of discarded debris.
Remove the Trap
We informed the owner about the sanitation issues and he and his crew immediately began cleaning the area and removed the broken grease trap.
Removing the Drain Flies
After they cleaned, we scrubbed out all the floor drains in the area and treated them with a liquid product that removes the bad bacteria, which is the breeding ground for the drain flies.
Last Few Steps
Next, we treated the drains with a bio-foam solution that eliminates all fly-attracting odors. Lastly, we applied a fly bait product around the area to eliminate the active drain flies.
