Photo Album: A Problem Deck Inviting Squirrels in Lincroft, NJ
This customer's deck was not properly secured to concrete footings and has sunken away from the house over time, inviting squirrels to infest his home.
Sunken Away Over Time
The awning covering has been pulled away from the home, creating a large gap in the vinyl siding above the header.
Noble Attempt
The homeowner attempted to exclude the squirrels on his own...
Getting Through
...but as you can see, the squirrels still got through! We removed all the homeowners' exclusion work and replaced it with custom-made Pest-Blok.
Exclude the Squirrels
This will exclude the squirrels from gaining access to the home until the homeowner hires a contractor to have the deck supported and the awning replaced with corrugated steel.
Trim the Branches
We also advised the homeowner to trim all the branches that are overhanging onto his deck. This will remove the natural bridge that squirrels, and other nuisance wildlife, will utilize to try and infest the home.
