Photo Album: Old Restaurant Filled with Flies and Fruit Flies in Cream Ridge, NJ
Broken Tile
During our inspection, we located one area of the building that had a large number of fruit flies near it. We took a closer look and found that not only was there a buildup of gunk in the drain, but the tile was broken, allowing moisture to build up, which contributed to the fruit fly infestation.
Broken Screens
As we examined the stock room we noticed there were a plethora of flies inside. A closer inspection revealed that the screens were broken...
Gaps
...and there was a large gap in the door. We brought these issues to the new owner's attention. He told us that he was planning on fixing the door and the screens anyway and that he will start cleaning the building. As he started to clean, we went to work.
Baiting and Scrubbing
First, we treated the high infestation areas with a fly bait to control the flies and the adult fruit flies. Next, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and used a heavy-duty brush to thoroughly scrub them out.
Foaming Time
This product removes the bad bacteria in the drains, which eliminates the fruit fly's breeding habitat. Lastly, we applied a bio-foam solution to all the floor drains. This application removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drains.
