Photo Album: Following Up a Fruit Fly Infestation in Dayton, NJ

Bad Infestation
This commercial building had a bad infestation of fruit flies in several areas. Before we started treatment, we advised the owner that he do a thorough, deep clean to remove any decaying organic matter that the fruit flies were breeding on.

Set Up Fly Traps
We returned the next day and placed several fruit fly traps near the areas of the highest volume. We treated the traps with a fly bait that exterminates them within moments of contact.

How it Works
The traps draw the fruit flies close and the bait immediately kills them. After returning and finding activity, we replaced all the traps with new ones.

Cleaned the Drain Before we Left
Before we left, we scrubbed each floor drain with a liquid application that removes the bad bacteria from the drain, which eliminates the fruit fly's breeding habitat. Lastly, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drain. We'll return for another follow up visit to monitor the infestation and apply any additional treatments if needed.
