Photo Album: Massive Tree Harboring Carpenter Ants in Marlboro, NJ
Carpenter ants were living in this massive tree in the front yard of our client's home in Marlboro, NJ.
Boat Load of Carpenter Ants
While treating the exterior of the home, we noticed this large tree in the front. As we began inspecting it, we noticed a massive carpenter ant infestation.
Why Wet Wood
As the wood gets wet, it gets soft and makes it easier for the carpenter ants to excavate. It's important to regularly inspect your property to keep an eye out for these wood-destroying pests because if left alone, they can cause some serious damage.
Treating for Carpenter Ants
We're treating the base of the tree as well as some knots and holes in the tree where the carpenter ants are nesting with a non-repellent product.
All the Workers Fault
The worker ants will return to their nest and transfer the treatment throughout their colony. A short while later, the carpenter ants are exterminated.
