Those Acrobat Ants

While inspecting the home, I noticed a large number of ants crawling around the front porch. A closer inspection revealed that these were acrobat ants.

What Exactly Are Acrobat Ants

Acrobat ants received their name from the way the worker ants carry their heart-shaped abdomen above the rest of their body as if they were performing a balancing act. They are also extremely aggressive and territorial, emit a foul odor when threatened, and are quick to bite.

Acrobat Ant Treatment

I injected an aerosol up into the soffit area, which will quickly exterminate the ants and flush them out of hiding.

Hit the Main Nest

Once I finished injecting the treatment, the acrobat ants started pouring out. I knew I hit the nest because of the large number of ants coming out from the ceiling and egg capsules dropping out!

More Treatment for Ants

I then applied a residual dusting application into the ceiling above the porch and then a liquid residual all along the exterior foundation.

Extermination of Ants

The ants will come in contact with either of these products and once they return to their nest, they will share the treatments throughout their colony. In a short amount of time, the acrobat ants are exterminated.
