Photo Album: Carpenter Ants Uncovered in Morganville, NJ
While treating this home in Morganville, NJ, I discovered a massive carpenter ant infestation.
That Looks Suspicious
As I was inspecting the exterior of the home, I noticed a large buildup of frass (sawdust) near the base of this tree.
Surprise
I took a closer look and found a huge carpenter ant nest!
Dangerous Wood Destroying Pest
Carpenter ants are known to cause the most damage out of all the different species of ants that commonly infest structures. These relentless insects will threaten the structural stability of buildings by excavating into the wood to build their nests.
Don't Give Them a Chance
Fortunately, they didn't make it inside the home. So for treatment, I injected a residual dusting application into all the crevices of the tree.
More Carpenter Ant Treatment
Next, I applied a granular bait to the base this tree (as well as all the trees on the property) and then treated the entire exterior of the home with a liquid residual.
Eliminated
Once the carpenter ants come in contact with any of these applications, they will bring them back to their nest and share the treatments with one another. Shortly after, the ants are eliminated.
