Photo Album: Flying Ants Mistaken as Termites in Middletown, NJ
A concerned homeowner in Middletown, NJ, called our office after finding what he thought were termites in his home.
Throughout the Living and Dining Room
As we began inspecting the home, we found the massive pile up of these flying pests in the living room and dining room.
Not Termites
Fortunately, after a closer inspection, we identified these pests as flying ants, NOT termites.
The Difference Between the Two
Flying ants have two sets of wings that are different sizes while termites have two sets of wings that are exactly the same size.
How to Exterminate Them
At the owners request, we treated all the cracks, crevices, and baseboards in the living and dining room with a liquid residual. Afterward, we treated the entire exterior of the home with the same application.
Spread it Throughout the Colony
The ants will come in contact with this product, return to their nest, and spread this treatment throughout their entire colony by feeding or grooming one another. Soon, the ants will be exterminated.
