Photo Album: Rats Rummaging Throughout Warehouse in Princeton, NJ
We were sent out to a warehouse in Princeton, NJ to handle a rat issue.
Build Up of Garbage
We noticed that there was a large amount of garbage built up by the dumpster, which was close to the warehouse. As we took a closer look, we found rat chew marks throughout the bags and droppings inside the dumpster. This was definitely contributing to the rat infestation.
Gap in the Bilco Doors
We also noticed that the bilco doors weren't sealed properly as there was a wide gap in them. This was how the rats were able to enter the building.
Clean Up the Garabage
We advised the owner to remove all the garbage from the area immediately, get the dumpsters professionally cleaned, and to replace the bilco doors. He agreed and had his crew clean up the area. In the meantime, we installed the several exterior and interior rodent bait stations.
Until They Get Replaced
Until the bilco doors get replaced, we stuffed the gaps with stainless steel mesh, which the rats are unable to chew through, and sealed it in place with a premium, waterproof adhesive. We will return for several follow-up visits to replenish the bait stations as needed and monitor the rat activity.
