After the maintenance crew at a school in Howell, NJ found termites in one of the hallways, the principal immediately called Cowleys for help.
Swarming in the Hallway
I moved the soda machine out of the way and found several termite mud tubes as well as active termite swarmers in the crevice of the wall.
Beneath the Soil
Since termites live beneath the soil and enter a building below the ground level of the dirt, in order to effectively treat them, I began drilling into the concrete.
Here, Here, and Here
I drilled through the slab near the soda machine and water foundation, along the ramp, and into an area that was abutting the problem area.
Now for the Termiticide
Next, I injected a liquid termiticide into the drill holes.
What Does the Termiticide Do
The termiticide binds to the treated area and creates an undetectable protective zone.
School is Termite-Free
The termites unknowingly come in contact with this treatment, bring it back to their colony, and share it with one another. Shortly after, they are eliminated and the school will be termite-free for years to come!
