All Thanks to the Raccoon
As you can see, the raccoon severely damaged the soffit area! For a successful retrieval, we temporarily sealed up all access points with hardware cloth...
The Nose Cone
...and then installed a nose cone over the main access point. The nose cone is designed to safely guide the raccoon into our connected device...
Called a Positive Set
...which is a heavy-duty, two-gaited device. This setup is called a positive set because we are positive that the raccoon will have no other way to exit but through our device. We also placed several baited traps nearby.
Raccoon Retrieval
Once we safely retrieve the raccoon, we will relocate it to a humane environment, disinfect the attic area, and repair and replace the soffit area with sturdy, metal flashing.
