Droppings Behind the Washer and Dryer
After carefully removing the mouse from the dryer I inspected the area and found a plethora of mouse droppings behind the washer & dryer.
Crawl Space Door Was Loose
As I examined the exterior of the home, I noticed that the crawl space door was open. As I tried to close it, I quickly realized that the door was broken. As I inspected the area, I found more mice droppings and nesting debris throughout the crawl space. Turns out the mice were entering the home via the crawl space and crawling up the pipe chases to the laundry room.
Clean and Seal
I informed the homeowner and offered to replace the crawl space door, but the homeowner declined and said that he will replace the door himself. In the meantime, I carefully cleaned up all the droppings inside the home, stuffed all the openings with chew-proof stainless steel mesh, and then sealed them in place with a premium, waterproof adhesive.
Follow-Up
Lastly, I placed several Ready-to-Use rodent bait stations throughout the interior and along the exterior of the home. I'll return for several follow-up visits to monitor the rodent infestation and replenish the bait stations as needed.
