Photo Album: Termites Found in the Crawl Space in Brick, NJ
I was sent out on a service call for a homeowner in Brick, NJ who found a few termites in her home.
Coming from the Crawl Space
Minutes into my inspection, I found termite swarmers in the kitchen. Continuing my inspection, I found termite mud tubes and active termites in the crawl space where the construction points meet.
Beneath the Soil
Termites live beneath the soil and enter your home below the ground level of the dirt. For an effective treatment, I must drill into the concrete and then inject a liquid application into the area.
Properly Spaced
Properly spacing the drill holes apart will ensure that the liquid application has room to spread out and increases the chances that the termites will come in contact with the treatment.
Treatment for Termites
Next, I injected a liquid application. This application is a termiticide that binds to the treated soil and creates a protective zone that termites cannot detect.
Transfer the Termiticide
Once termites come in contact with this treatment, they will transfer it throughout their colony.
Rapidly Spreads
The application will then spread like a virus throughout the colony and, in a short amount of time, the termites are exterminated!
Termite Problems Are No More
Now the owner will no longer have any issues with termites and the home is protected for many years to come.
