Photo Album: A Long Trail of Pavement Ants in Hightstown, NJ
While treating a home in Hightstown, NJ, I found a long trail of pavement ants all over the kitchen.
Pavement Ants in the Kitchen
While starting my treatment, I found pavement ants in the kitchen. They are called pavement ants because they nest in cracks in or under pavement.
From the Kitchen
Continuing my inspection, I discovered that the ants were trailing all the way from the kitchen...

and eventually leading outside to a crack in the patio. I treated the baseboards where the ants were trailing as well as the exterior foundation and crack in patio with liquid non-repellant application.
Pavement Ants Eliminated
Once the ants come in contact with this treatment, they'll bring it back to their nest and transfer it among one another. Shortly after, the colony is exterminated.
