Photo Album: Rats Snacking on Dog Treats in Freehold, NJ
We were sent out on a service call to a homeowner in Freehold, NJ who thought he had rats in his home.
Dog Bones Keep Disappearing
The homeowner told us that his dog bones in the pantry kept disappearing and he wasn't sure if his dogs were stealing them or if he had another issue. After moving everything out of his pantry, we found a big, chewed out hole in the bottom of the dog bone box!
Chewed Out Hole
We inspected the kitchen pantry further and found a chewed out hole!
Found the Missing Dog Bones
We then went down into the crawl space and found all the missing dog bones along with a bunch of rat droppings!
Rodent Removal
We carefully cleaned up the rat droppings and installed several interior and exterior rodent bait stations throughout the property.
Seal Up the Holes
We then stuffed all the entry holes with stainless steel mesh, that the rats cannot chew through, and then sealed them up with a waterproof adhesive. We then scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the rat infestation and replenish the bait until the rats are gone.
